Dear Partner & Friend,

I’m on my way to Kenya in just a few weeks. I am counting on your prayers; and I am believing for supernatural increase.

In fact, God gave me a detailed message about this subject which I have taken time to write. I trust you will read through it carefully, and ask the Lord to quicken the truth of it to your heart,

Before you read it, I want you to know we at Schambach Ministries lift you up in our morning prayer times, asking God to bless you, complete you and make you fruitful. We thank God for your partnership in prayer and ongoing giving.

Your love gifts, words of encouragement and testimonies of God’s healing power thrill us, pushing us through the next open door for harvesting souls with excitement! Thank you so much.

I took the time to write this month, because I believe the word God gave me is to encourage the Body of Christ. God desires each one of us to be fruitful, even in the time of famine. Take some time to meditate on these 7 keys, and let faith come alive in your heart.

         7 Keys to Supernatural Increase....

The text is taken from Genesis 26. It tells of an adult Isaac, after his father Abraham was dead. God was preparing him for supernatural and abundant increase, but his faith would have to be developed in the land of famine.

There was a time that Abraham was also faced with a season of famine; he went to Egypt to find food and prospered as a result. Isaac thought, “it worked for Dad, it will work for me,” but He was wrong.

As he headed off to Egypt, God interrupted him.

1. We must hear and obey the voice of God

I am so thankful God put this story in Genesis. Isaac was already somewhat of a prince, he had wealth and he came from a lineage that was blessed. He had a father who talked with Almighty God, and as a result he lived a prosperous life.

But Isaac faced a time of severe challenge, not unlike what you and I face. He had to learn to hear the voice of God for himself and God spoke clearly saying,

Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you.
Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. . . “ (vv. 2b,   3a)

Isaac was blessed to hear the voice of God. (Many of God’s people need to develop and cultivate the skill of listening to Him.) The words were good; the direction was clear. God spoke of blessing—but He connected blessing to the land of drought and famine.

At that point, Isaac had a decision to make. He could look to natural provision, disobeying God. Or he could take God at His word, and stay in Gerar.
Isaac chose to stay, and the result was the abundant blessing of the Lord.

2. We must have revelation about who we are before God.

I am quite sure Isaac remembered Mount Moriah. He knew that he was a walking miracle in many ways. He was the 11th hour fulfillment of a life-long promise to Abraham that he would have a son. Isaac must have had a sense that he was brought into the world differently than most.

Yet, it was in the time of famine, when all looked hopeless, that God had to bring revelation to Isaac’s spirit. God had made a promise to Abraham, and He intended to bring the next leg of fulfillment through Isaac. Isaac could not go down to Egypt, because he was a son of promise—and that promise was tied to the land:

“…for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will
perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will
make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give
to your descendants all these lands, and in your seed will all
the nations of the earth be blessed.” (vv. 3b, 4)

Today, you may be facing a difficult time in your life. The enemy may be lying to you, telling you that the only hope you have is to go to the government or the doctor for what help they can give. That’s why you need a fresh revelation of who you are before God today—you are a child of promise! You are the seed of Abraham. God has much to accomplish through your life, if you will hear what He says to you, and do it.

3. We must have increased revelation of the kind of God we serve.

Our story of Isaac’s fruitfulness in Genesis 26, is interrupted by a side story. I’ve often wondered why God included it in this chapter. It is not a story of faith and fruitfulness; it is a story of fear and deceit.

Isaac was afraid that Abimelech king of the Philistines would steal Rebekah his wife and kill him. He decided to lie, saying she was his sister.  When the king found out Isaac deceived him, he became furious. His anger could have  taken Isaac out, but God had another plan. Abimilech ordered all of his people to leave Isaac and Rebekah alone—not to touch them. The favor of God preserved Isaac, Rebekah and the promise.

This is the kind of God we serve! You and I can be on the road to fulfilling God’s plan for our lives, messing everything up. We may make mistakes and fail God. We may react cowardly, out of fear. But, God is determined to see us through to completion. He covers us when He knows we are not in rebellion. And, He also knows how to straighten us out.

I guarantee, you will have to repent along the way-- maybe several times in a day. Just walk humbly before the Lord—repent of all sin—and watch Him bless you in spite of yourself.

4. We must sow into the promise.

Isaac began to sow into the promise God made him. If he was to dwell in Gerar, he would need to eat. He had to feed his family, his servants and his livestock. So, He took God at His word, and put some muscle into the promise.

When God saw his faithful, valiant labor of faith, the blessings started to flow:

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a
hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to
prosper, and continued prospering until he became very
    prosperous.” (vv.12, 13)

Very prosperous. I like those words. Isaac began to see an immediate return on his investment of hard work.

Let’s think about this together. So many of God’s people who have received promises of fruitfulness in their lives, take a “wait and see” approach to life. They figure, if God wants me to do something, He will open the doors.

I have a different view. If God has placed a vision in my heart, I start taking steps toward that vision. If I go down a wrong path, God will let me know. If I don’t succeed at first, I step back and evaluate how to do it better.  And we can sow in many different ways. For instance, if we have a call to the nations of the world, we can begin sowing by:

    1) praying for the nations. God may give a burden for a specific nation
        or people group.
    2) giving into missions projects. Releasing our substance into the work
of God as seed for the future.
    3) volunteering on a missions trip. Accompanying those who have done
the work before, and while serving, learn as much as possible.

As we begin to hear the voice of God and become obedient, we must then sow into the promise and He will add His favor and blessing.

5) We must learn to sow diligently, even in the time of famine.

If we want to be fruitful, we must remain faithful, even when the very life around us seems to be drying up. Yes, the enemy does all he can to hinder the work of God, but forget him. Just keep sowing.

This simply amazes me about Isaac. I can only imagine how difficult it was to dig, plow and plant in a land that had been experiencing famine. That ground must have been discouragingly hard. Much back-breaking labor went into sowing seed in Gerar.

Isaac’s servants must have thought him a little crazy. Entire families were migrating to Egypt for help, but their boss was staying in an arid land with little potential for harvest, because he said he heard from “God!”

I want to tell you, others may call you crazy when you keep praying, giving and talking about Jesus--especially when everything looks bleak. If you really want to give the scoffers in your life mental hernias, start lifting up your voice in praise! While everyone else is murmuring, you can be exalting the Most High God. Learn how to sow into your promise, even when it doesn’t look promising. God will show up with supernatural increase—the hundredfold blessing. Oh, Hallelujah!

6. We must re-dig the watering wells of our spiritual fathers.

Isaac was smart enough to know that all of his sowing would be for nothing if he didn’t find water. He needed something that would keep his crops healthy, not just for one season. If God was going to increase his family in this land over the next generations, he needed a water supply that would last indefinitely. So, he went to the wells that his father Abraham had dug.

(He must have figured, if Abraham talked to God regularly, God must have shown him where the water was.)

Well, when he found those wells, he found them plugged up. You see the enemy was jealous of Abraham because he was so wealthy. The enemy wanted Abe and his family out of there, so they stopped up the wells.

Take a lesson from this. The devil does not want to see you bearing fruit for the Kingdom. He doesn’t want you to win souls to Christ. He is going to do everything he can to stop up the flow of water. And he knows, better than you at times, that you need the Living Water to bring all your hard work to life! If you need the Living Water, you will have to do what Isaac did.

When Isaac saw his father’s wells plugged up—he just re-opened those wells. He had to put some work into it to do it, but he opened them again. In fact, once they were re-opened, the enemy tried to take his family wells from him. Isaac didn’t argue, he just found another well, and kept on digging until the Lord brought him to the one well that would sustain the promise.

Glory to the Living God! We have an underground wellspring of life in the Precious Person of the Holy Ghost. No matter what is going on in our lives, we have the Holy Spirit of God to water our faith, give us a reviving drink, and cause us to have renewed vigor for the work of God.

If we are feeling parched, it’s time to prime the pump! Start singing; open up your heart in praise; minister to the Lord with other tongues—in the Spirit and with your understanding; obey the Lord in times of intercession. This is the refreshing, Peter said about the outpouring—this causes the Church to come alive in the power of God. Re-dig the ancient wells of the Spirit of God!

Remember what The LORD of HOSTS said, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit….” (Zechariah 4:6)

7) Find your place of broad expansion in the Kingdom of God.

After sowing—digging—and moving away from the enemy, Isaac finally rested at a well he named Rehoboth:

“And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not
quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said,
‘For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful
    in the land.’” (v.22)

I believe God has a Rehoboth for every one of His servants—a place where they can be at peace, grow and become fruitful.

You and I each have unique callings and giftings. I don’t have to produce the same kind of harvest you produce. One may work with prisoners; another may serve in a hospital; some may pastor flocks in the suburbs—others in the inner-cities.

God has taken the pressure off. You don’t have to produce in the place of frustration. Do what God has given you to do! It doesn’t matter what others think, if you know who you are in God; if you have heard from Him and obey Him; if you have been sowing into the promise He gave you despite all negative circumstances; if you are doing it by the power of the Spirit—He will bring you into a place that has elbow room. You shall be fruitful in that land!

It is very difficult to give this kind of message justice in one letter. I have given you the gist, but I would love for you to have it in its entirety, as it was preached under the anointing.

Here’s what we will do—when you sow into our mission—our awesome mission to Kenya, you will be partnering for an increase of souls in the Kingdom. Whatever God asks of you, give. Send it as quickly as possible, as I will be leaving in just a few short weeks.

When you sow, my staff will send you the audio message on CD to encourage your heart, our gift for your faithful partnership to this ministry.  Brother Schambach and I, along with my mother and our entire ministry family pray and believe for supernatural increase in your life and ministry!

                    Going after a Greater Harvest,
