Hello Friend,
What a great time to
be alive and enjoying the
goodness of the LORD!
As you get to know me, I hope you understand how privileged I feel to be pastoring the flock at Power and Praise Tabernacle during Brother R.W. Schambach’s golden years.
This general of the faith has been an encouragement to me during my entire ministry, and I know God has placed me beside him to hold up his hands at this time.
Two years ago, during one of my 5 a.m. prayer sessions, God spoke something unusual into my spirit. He said, “When I ask for your basket, I want it; and, I want it all.”
I had to study a little on the word “basket” to be sure I understood what He meant. In the Bible times, there was a little basket that folks would carry on their shoulder to carry all their possessions in. It would be the same basket the little boy who gave Jesus his lunch was carrying.
When God spoke this into my spirit, He was asking for all I possessed—the church I had built; my job that supported me; everything.
Then God said this: “When you give me your basket, I don’t return it to you full. I will give you back many baskets.”
Two years later, I would be reminded of those words He spoke to me, when Sister Donna Schambach came to Eufaula, Alabama, and asked me to pastor the church in Tyler.
I felt as though God was asking for everything—my church, the life I enjoyed —all.
But when I said “yes” to God, I knew He had great plans.
And, I have come to believe God is going to release the many baskets at Power and Praise Tabernacle. He is a God of increase; and He has much in store for us.
Already we are becoming a church that loves people and loves to meet the needs of people. Let’s anticipate together what the Father will do for us, as we serve Him together at Power and Praise Tabernacle.
